Potassium Chloride (KCl) is a food grade salt. Used for water treatment in beer brewing to obtain the desired amount of potassium and chloride. Potassium chloride gives the beer a fuller character that emphasizes maltiness. Can also be used in cooking and in dishes to replace or complement regular table salt, i.e. Sodium Chloride (NaCl). Normally 50% of the table salt can be replaced. Exists naturally as mineral. E-number: E 508.
